P3 - 3D/Animation

This course introduces students to the basic terminology, concepts and principles of 3D design and Animation using Autodesk 3DS Max, one of the most popular 3D softwares in the world.

In the beginning of the course, it's assumed the students know very little about this at all.  By the end of the course, students should be proficient in modeling and animating basic shapes, characters and items.  They should also have a more specialized direction in 3D: characters, buildings, fire, smoke, light, etc.

It's HIGHLY recommended that students have a large USB drive to backup work, as well as a notebook for sketching and notes.

All students, especially 10th grade, will be encouraged to create items relevant to their other subjects.  What would something really look like?  What 3D examples would enhance other subjects?
