Engineering Concepts

This is the second year course of the Engineering Pathway.  Students should have taken Foundations of Engineering, with some exceptions for those with a strong background in the topic.

In short, we're going to build electric gokarts!  While we will cover the topics of safety, careers and more, we're going to do so while building electric gokarts.  Students should be ready to develop their persistence and determination, as this will parallel the professional development of a vehicle.  And at the end, we race!!

All of this is based on http://www.powerracingseries.org/ and the class that a former student of mine teaches at MIT.

Also, this class is partnered with the Technology Student Association (TSA).  While it is not required to join TSA, it's a great opportunity to compete in building and designing!  The dues are very affordable, and we attend a few field trips/conferences.
